Breakin’ the law!
Blaug! Um… so… interesting story. I got a ticket Saturday night for out of date tags. Only my tags said they were good until December 2013. Turns out the dealership put the wrong stickers on. Doh! Also my license was suspended for a camera speeding ticket that I never got in the mail. I remember being flashed, and I was speeding. But I swear - nothing in the mail.
Now those people who know me would be forgiven for thinking that I probably just didn’t check my mail or pay attention to what was in my mail. I’m definitely that kind of absent minded and irresponsible. However, Sarah is much better about that kind of thing and also doesn’t remember seeing anything. On top of that, the ticket was magically taken care of and the officer didn’t see it when he ran my license. Also he didn’t see the suspension, just that my license wasn’t valid. The officer was as confused as I was. The DMV has a record of it being cleared, but they still had the order to suspend my license (for not appearing in court). There were several other things that were all messed up, but it’s all taken care of now.
I blame computers.
